The WGFD is planning on rehabilitating approximately 1,320 feet of Hutton Creek located on Wyoming Game and Fish Commission owned land (Forbes/Sheep Mountain Wildlife Habitat Management Area or Forbes/Sheep Mountain WHMA) to improve stream and riparian function. Up to 20 BDAs will be installed within Hutton Creek. Project location: https://maps.app.goo.gl/6joe7TG7k4DD4vk59 Volunteers must provide their own transportation to the location.

Also plan to bring work gloves and additional gear/food to be outdoors for the day.

Planned construction of BDAs will help restore floodplain connectivity while enhancing cover for both current and future beaver populations. Without intervention, current watershed conditions may continue to degrade, leading to a more disconnected floodplain, intermittent water flow, and a lack of suitable riparian habitat in crucial areas for elk and mule deer.
