Wyoming Game and Fish Department
We are seeking 20-25 volunteers to assist with the Jelm Mountain Wildlife Water Guzzler Repairs project. This initiative involves volunteer-driven maintenance to improve long-term water availability for local wildlife through fencing replacement, apron repairs, sediment cleanout, and general site rehabilitation.
- Meeting Time: 8:00 AM - Meeting Location: WGFD office (to carpool to the guzzler site). If you plan to meet at the site, join us there at 8:30 AM. - Site Location: Jelm Mountain Road 3429 (41.07488, -105.99326) - Requirements: A four-wheel drive vehicle is required to reach the site. Please bring gloves, drinks, sunscreen, and bug spray. The BLM and WGFD will provide all necessary materials, tools, and equipment. Additionally, WGFD will supply lunch and water for all participants; further details regarding meals will be sent directly to those who sign up. This project is a collaborative effort between the BLM, WGFD, and BLVFD to protect vital infrastructure and support wildlife, habitat resources, and stewardship on public lands.
